ITINERARY | |||||||||||||||
Day 01: Arrival Ahmedabad by morning flight Upon arrival check into hotel. Later half day sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad and visit JAMA MASJID - built in 1423 by the founder of ahmedabad. This mosque is built in yellow sand stones and it stands on the 260 pillars which support 15 domes a staggered elevations. Sidi saiyad mosque- enclosed by the plesent garden in the centre of the city this small mosque is know for its delicate and exquisite trellises and stone window tracery. wooden models of these are exhibited in newyork and Kensington museum. Dada Hari Ni Vav- built in 1501 this stepwell consists of a domed entrance which is a series of the steps and pillared stones platform lead down to the reservoir. The walls and pillars are richly carved in stone. Hathee singh temple- Constructed in the year 1850 AD, Hathee Singh temple is a very famous Jain temple. It has been named after its founder Seth Hathee Singh, a prosperous Jain merchant. Hathee Singh Jain temple of Ahmedabad was built in the dedication of the 15th Jain Trithanakara named Dharmnath. The temple is known for its fabulous architectural styling and designing that consists of intricate carvings. Sabarmati ashram- Sabarmati Ashram, formerly known as 'Satyagraha Ashram", situated in Ahmedabad at the Kocharab Bungalow of Jivanlal Desai, a barrister. Later on it was shifted to the banks of Sabarmati river and then it came to be known as 'Sabarmati Ashram'. Gandhi stayed at the Ashram from 1915 to 1933 later on the Ashram was disbanded. The Ashram is a witness to many important historical events.Day 02: Ahmedabad drive to Dasada Modhera - Patan (135km /3hrs) After breakfast leave from Ahmedabad and drive to Dasada visit Modhera - built in 1026 as during the reign of the solanki dynasty. This temple is dedicated to the sun god, its stands high on an elevated plinth overlooking a deep stepped tank, both the interiors and the exteriors have exquisitely caved st4. Then drive to Patan , Patan is located in northern Gujarat between the Aravalli Range and the Gulf of Khambat. It was founded in 745 A.D by Vanraj Chavda a ruler of of Chavda dynasty. The main occupations of the people are agriculture and weaving. The Patola silk sari made here is quite famous. Patan is well connected to the rest of the country by road and rail links. Overnight stay at Hotel in Dasada.Day 03: After morning safari in Dasada, Drive to Bhuj (280 Kms) After breakfast drive to Rann of kutch, a marshy area in the desert were you see a variety of birds like flamingo, the duck crane here in the Wild Ass Sanctuary. Later drive to Bhuj. Upon arrival check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.Day 04: Bhuj - near by villages, full day excursion-Bhuj (150 km) After breakfast drive to Bhuj the princely state of jadeja rulers , the old walled city is the most important town of that area, the oldest museum in Gujarat is located in bhuj, see aiana mahal, kutch museum.Day 05: Bhuj / Departure After breakfast half day city tour of Bhuj or visit Bhujodi. Later dep. transfer from hotel to airport to board flight for onward destination.
