Day01 DELHI - COCHIN (BY FLIGHT)
On arrival to Cochin, our tour representative will meet and assist you at the Airport. Later transfer and check into the hotel. Cochin - the commercial capital of Kerala. It has to offer palaces, forts, beaches, backwaters, old churches, snake boat races, Kathkali, museums and the convenience of the big city. Kochi is just about the center of Kerala. It is basically a collection of islands and narrow peninsulas. Ernakulam is the commercial center and forms the main land. It has a fine natural harbour around which the city has grown. Kochi is the famous port, trading between India and the rest of the world. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day02 COCHIN - MUNNAR DRIVE 130KMS/3HRS
Morning sightseeing tour of Cochin, a port city with a rich past and bustling present. The Chinese, Jews, Arabs and Europeans came here to trade and their influence on Kochi and its people is still evident. Kochi is an attractive city and the serene backwaters, golden sunsets, lagoons overhung with feathery coconut palms, picturesque Islands-Vypeen, willingdon, Ramanthuruth, Vallarpadam and Bolghatty - all contribute to its beautiful cityscape. The interesting Jewish Synagogue - the oldest in India, the Mattancherry Palace of the former maharajas, also known as the Dutch palace, old British churches, the Bolghatty Palace, are all worth seeing and make a visit to Kochi a unique experience. Later drive to Munnar, following a journey through spectacular countryside. Arrive the hill-station of Munnar, situated in the heart of the Cardamom Hills, at an altitude of 1700m. Munnar is surrounded by endless green, rolling hills and 30 of the world's highest tea estates. On arrival, check into the hotel. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day03 MUNNAR
Munnar - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice scented cool air - yes! Munnar has all these and more. Later half day sight seeing at Munnar, including Rajamalai, Mattupetty, Eco point, Devikulam, Tea plantations. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day03 MUNNAR - THEKKADY DRIVE 110KMS/3HRS
After breakfast check out from the hotel and depart for Thekkady through the cardamom hills of Idukki. Check into the hotel. Afternoon we explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary which spreads over 777 sq km, roughly half of which is dense evergreen forest, savannah grassland and moist deciduous forest. The forest was declared a tiger reserve in 1978 under Project Tiger, and so the name Periyar Tiger Reserve is sometimes used to denote the place as well. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day04 THEKKADY
In the morning you can enjoy a boat ride in the Periyar lake. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is situated on the banks of the Periyar lake. The pride of Kerala and a testimony to nature's splendor and human innovation: - An artificial lake, at Thekkady. Here the high ranges of the Western Ghats are clothed in dense evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savannah grasslands. Below this thick green canopy roam herds of elephants, sambars, tigers, gaurs, lion tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day05 THEKKADY - KUMARAKOM DRIVE 155KMS/3HRS
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom. On arrival to Kumarakom board houseboat. It is an incredibly different experience to cruise in the backwaters in houseboats (modified rice boats of the past) absorbing the beauty of Kerala villages. The scenery flashes up vivid contrasts of breath taking greens and deep blues. A journey through the curving and winding backwaters of Kerala is an experience of returning to nature. Over night at the Houseboat.
Day06 ALLEPPEY - KOVALAM DRIVE 170KMS/4HRS
Morning arrive to Alleppey. Our representative will be meeting and assisting you. Later drive to Kovalam. Kovalam - located 16 km south of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) city and 176kms from Alleppey, is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches world-famous beach resorts, which has been a favorite spot for tourists since 1930s. This beach has lovely coconut palms fringe the golden sands. Kovalam is the best place for relaxation. It has three different beaches of which the Lighthouse beach is the most famous beach. Ayurvedic treatment is another attraction of Kovalam. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day07 KOVALAM - KANYAKUMARI - KOVALAM
After breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion tour to Kanyakumari. Enroute visit the Padmanabhapuram Palace. On arrival to Kanyakumari visit the Gandhi Memorial, Vivekananda Rock, and Devikanya Temple. Evening after seeing the sunset drive back to Kovalam. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day08 KOVALAM
Breakfast at the hotel. Day explore the beaches and places of sightseeing in Kovalam. Evening free for relaxation. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day09 KOVALAM - COCHIN
After breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel and transfer to the Cochin Airport to board flight for your onwards destination.
