Day 01 - Arrive intoKathmandu:
Pick up from the airport and transfer
to hotel - Dinner
Day 02 - Kathmandu:
Breakfast, visit Shri Pashupatinath ji
Temple and Boudhnath. Back to Hotel for lunch. After lunch, final
preparation for yatra i.e, checking and demonstration of equipments
which will be used during the yatra. If any one needs to buy or get
things on hire, our Nebuti Personnel will accompany the guest. Dinner.
Day 03 - Drive to Nylam (150km), 3750m:
Morning after breakfast leave Kathmandu
to commence yatra to Nyalam [3750M]. We reach Friendship Bridge [Nepal China
Boarder which is 110 kms - 4 hours drive] by mini-coach. Walk around
for 10 minutes to cross the bridge and there get acquainted with
Chinese guide and land cruiser ( 4x4 vehicles Japanese make) drivers.
They will give brief information regarding the further trip then
proceed to Zangmu, where the immigration and custom formalities are
to be accomplished. After the accomplishment of formalities, we proceed
to Nyalam. Arrival at Nyalam and overnight at guesthouse.
Day 04 - Rest day at Nylam, 3750m:
This day is for acclimatization which
is of utmost importance.
Day 05 - Saga / 4450 m:
(Labug-La 5150m ( pass) Peku-tso and
Saga, 232km) This will be the first long drive over the sandy and
rocky land of Tibet. Small lakes, nomads chasing their herd of yaks
and sheep are at times visible. By late afternoon you will cross
the "Bhramhapurtra" river which is known as the " Yarlung - Tsangpo." Now
a bridge has been built over it. Earlier the crossing had to be done
by ferry. This small town is a typical Chinese and Tibetan settlement.
Overnight at Saga.
Day 06 - Paryang (4600m) 230 km 7-8 hrs:<br />
Jeeps and trucks roll on the wide valley.
Rivers and grazing land of yaks and sheep are visible from time to
time. Far south one can see snow covered peaks, lots of rocky peaks
and sand dunes, which give you an ideal of the aridness of the landscape.
Depending on the season, nomads who are known as "Khampas" can be
encountered with. Mobile shopkeepers attired by beautiful traditional
costume, waiting your arrival with hot tea and other supplies with
a big smile.
Day 07 - Drive Paryang to Manasrowar (4558m) 227 kms - 8 hours
The longest driving day starts with full
of excitement, by late afternoon you can have the first sight of "The
Holy Kailash Parbat and Manasarovara". Hore, a small village near
by Lake Manasarover.
Manasrowar: 4558m ( 12950 feet)
The highest fresh water Lake, which is
turquoise blue, is full of fishes and swans. Holy Kailash Parbat,
Mt. Gurula-Mandala, Lake Rashekshi are lying in its surrounding.
The region is considered rich for gold and other mines, hot springs
and plenty of wild living creatures. Night will be spent at Chu Gumba.
Day 08 - Puja & drive to Tarchen 40 kms (14975 feet)
Manasarovara is the lake of compassion,
tranquility and bliss. After completing the memorable morning Bath
and Puja we will be heading towards Tarchen. It is considered as
the base camp for the Holy Kailash Parikrama.
Day 09 - Trek to Dehara Puk / 5000m:
It is one of the exciting days walking
along the beautiful rocky cliffs; water falls with some clouds in
the clear blue sky make you feeling that Great God Shiva is every
where with tons of blessing on you.
Time to time the face of Kailash Parbat
will be keep appearing and vanashing. For 15 kms it almost takes 7
hrs.
Day 10 - Hardest but the Holiest day of your pilgrimage Yatra crossing
the Dolma-la pass -5640m( 18600ft):
Yamasthal should be crossed to reach
the Shiva-asthal while your steps go closer to the pass. Once you reach
the top, just do the holiest offering and sit down for meditation forgetting
yourself. Once your steps go down (decending), Parvati-stal and Gauri
Kunda are on the way. By late afternoon you will arrive at Zuthal Puk
(the cave of Miracles. The great ascetic Milerappa is supposed to have
performed miracles here).
Day 11 - End of Kailash Parikarma. Drive toManasrovar
After walking for about 3-4 hours, the
driving crew will be waiting your arrival. By late afternoon you
will be at your lodge/camp.
Day 12 - Drive to Saga (460kms) 8-9 hrs
Day 13 - Drive to Nayalam or Zhangmu (296 kms) 6-7 hrs
Day 14 - Drive back to Kathmandu ( 150 kms) 4-5 hrs
Day 15 - Transfer to airport for your onward flight.
