Day 1: Addis Ababa
Arrival at the airport, you will be met
and assisted by our representatives. In the Afternoon you will visit
the National Museum (Start with the Archeological section and then
proceed to the Ethnographic section to see the different lifestyles
of the major Ethiopian ethnic groups). You will extend your visit to
the magnificent Holy Trinity Cathedral church which was built to commemorate
the Ethiopian liberation from Italian occupation. Then you will visit
the largest open market in Africa "Merkato".

Day 2: Bahir Dar
After check-in , take a boat trip on
Lake Tana to visit the famous ancient island monastery of Ura-Kidane-Meheret
which is rich in icon painting. Continuing to the southern end of the
heart shaped lake, you will visit the island of Kebran Gebriel monastery,
which was built in the 14th century A.D and reconstructed in late 17th
century A.D. We will return to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, drive
37 KM to the Blue Nile falls, commonly known as "Tis-isat," meaning
the water that smokes. Late afternoon we shall return back to your
hotel for overnight stay. Overnight stay in Bahir Dar Abay Minch Lodge.
Day 3: Lalibela
You will be met and assisted by our representatives
and transfer to hotel for check-in. Still remarkable and considered
world heritage (8th wonder of the world) by UNESCO, Lalibela was once
a thriving capital of a medieval dynasty. You will be met and assisted

Day 4: Lalibela
Today continue visit to the second group
of rock-hewn churches which are located south of the river "Jordan" that
comprises four churches and sanctuaries of Bet Emanuel, Bet Merkorios,
Bet Abba Libanos, the Chapel of Bethelehem and Bet Gabriel-Rufa'el.
In the afternoon, you will be going for excursion on the back of a
mule to visit the outlying church of Asheten Mariam. This church is
very famous for its 12-century monastery construction and beautiful
view at 10,298 ft above sea level, taking in wonderful views of the
surrounding countryside from its mountain-top location.

Day 5: Axum
Transfer to Lalibela Airport for departure
to Axum. Visit start from the famous Axum Stellae, and then within
walking distance you will find the church of saint Marry of Zion which
is claimed to hold the original Ark of the Covenant. The church also
contains the crowns of several Ethiopian Kings and other treasures.
After lunch, you will proceed to visit King Kaleb's palace and tomb
of King Remehai en route you will visit queen Sheba's bath as well
as the ruins of her palace.
Overnight stay in Axum Yeha or Consular Hotel.
Day 6: Departure
Today you will fly back to Addis Ababa
for an enjoyable final day including shopping, visiting the headquarters
of the African Union (AU) and the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA)
which are located in Addis or more tour of the capital city. In the
evening, after a farewell dinner at one of the Ethiopian traditional
restaurants, transfer to the airport for departure.
