ITINERARY:
Day 1:Debre Zeit
Following arrival at the airport will be met and assisted by our representatives. Drive 45KM from the international airport to reach to Debre zeit to have a leisure time and an overnight stay.
Overnight in Debre Zeit.
Day 2: Lalibela
Up on arrival at the Lalibela airport, will be met and assisted by our representatives and transfer to hotel for check-in. Still remarkable and considered world heritage (8th wonder of the world) by UNESCO, Lalibela was once a thriving capital of a medieval dynasty.
After Lunch start to visit the astonishing eleven Rock-hewn churches which were built during the reign of King Lalibela in the 12th century. The prominent eleven rock-hewn churches of Lalibela are separated into two groups by the seasonal river "Jordan". The first group of churches, that are north of the river "Jordan", include Bete Medhane-Alem, Bete Maryam, Bete Meskel, Bete Denagel, Bete Golgotha and Bete Debre Sina (also known as Bete Mika'el), and one that is isolated from the others the remarkable church of Bete Giorgis, possibly the most elegant and amazing of all.
Overnight stay in Lalibela.
Day 3: Departure
On this day Fly back to Addis Ababa. Addis Ababa "literary means New Flower" is the capital of Ethiopia and Diplomatic Capital city of Africa. Tour will start by visit the National Museum of Ethiopia where our ancestor Lucy (3.2 million old skeletons) is displayed and made Ethiopia to be described as the cradle of human being. Next visit will be to the magnificent Holy Trinity Cathedral church which was built to commemorate the Ethiopian liberation from Italian occupation and is well known for architectural structure, mural, mosaic, stained glass icon and the burial of the late Ethiopia's royal family. Final visit will be the largest open market in Africa "Merkato". In the evening, after a farewell dinner, transfer to the airport for departure. |
