ITINERARY

Day 01: GUWAHATI

Arrival Guwahati by air/ train. Transfer directly to a hotel. Afternoon sightseeing in Guwahati city. Overnight in a city hotel.

Day 02: GUWAHATI-BOMDILA (09 HRS)

Early in the morning, start drive to Bomdila. Enroute visit Asia's third largest Orchidarium at Tipi where you can see over 7500 orchids from a collection of about 300 species, some of them very rare. Situated at an altitude of 8500 ft. Bomdila offers wonderful panoramic vFiews of Himalayan landscapes and snow-clad ranges. There are beautiful apple orchards and Buddhist monasteries as well. Overnight at hotel Siphiangphong or Govt. Tourist Lodge.

Day 03: BOMDILA-TAWANG (06.5 HRS)

Early morning sight seeing in and around Bomdila. Afterwards start drive to Tawang. On the way lies world's second highest Pass - the Sela Pass (14000ft.). Reaching Tawang check in at hotel Buddha or Govt. Tourist Lodge.

Day 04: TAWANG

After breakfast in the hill town sightseeing in and around Tawang. We visit Tsongeswar Lake, Paradise Lake, Craft Centre and finally the three hundred year old Tawang Monastery - the second largest Buddhist monastery in the world. The Craft Centre produces some beautiful woolen carpets. Overnight.

Day 05: TAWANG-BHALUKPUNG (09 HRS)

Early in the morning we leave Tawang for Bhalukpung. Bhalukpung, on the border of the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh is a place of enthralling scenic beauty. The sparkling river Jia Bharali which passes through Bhalukpung is an adventure lover's paradise. By the side of the river is the Nameri National Park which falls under Project Tiger. Overnight at Govt. Tourist Lodge.

Day 06: BHALUKPUNG

The Nameri National Park is the home of the near extinct White Winged Wood-duck. Besides, the park abounds in elephants, leopards, Sambar, barking deer, wild boar, gaur, wild dogs and a variety of birds including four species of hornbill. After breakfast we gear-up for rafting over Jia Bharali river. Afterwards it is leisure time for you to explore this beautiful place on your own.

Day 07: BHALUKPUNG-GUWAHATI (06 HRS)

We leave Bhalukpung for Guwahati, the capital city of Assam. On arrival go for city sightseeing in Guwahati. Evening dinner in a floating restaurant over Brahmaputra river. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 08: GUWAHATI

After breakfast transfer to the airport/ railway station for on time to board return flight/ train.
