Day Wise Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Delhi - Haridwar (230 kms/6-7hrs) HT : 314 MTS.

Arrival Delhi Airport / Delhi Railway Station, Meet & Assist further drive to Haridwar. Transfer to your Hotel. If time permits visit Bharat Mata Mandir, Bhuma Niketan, India Temple, Pawan Dham, Doodhadhari Temple & others. Later visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti. The 'Aarti' worship of the Ganga after sunset and the floating 'dia' (lamp) is a moving ritual. Back to your hotel, Night halt.

Haridwar, lying at the feet of Shiva's hills, i.e., Shivaliks, in the Haridwar district of Uttaranchal Pradesh, is a doorway. Suryavanshi prince Bhagirath performed penance here to salvage the souls of his ancestors who had perished due to the curse of sage Kapila. The penance was answered and the river Ganga trickled forth forms Lord Shiva's locks and its bountiful water revived the sixty thousand sons of king Sagara. In the traditional of Bhagirath, devout Hindus stand in the sacred waters here, praying for salvation of their departed elder. It is doorway to the sources of the Ganga and the Yamuna, 3000 to 4500 meters up into the snowy ranges of the central Himalayas.

Day 2 Haridwar - Joshimath (276kms/8-9hrs)

Drive to Joshimath enroute visit Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karanprayag & Nandprayag (04 Prayags). Arrive Joshimath, transfer to your Hotel. Later visit Narsingh Temple & Shankracharaya Math. Overnight stay.

Joshimath is situated on the slopes above the confluence of Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. Of the four 'Maths' established by Adi Shankaracharya, Joshimath is in the Badrinath to Joshimath and installed in the temple for people to worship. There are many temples in the township most important is the temple of Nir Singh in commotion of Lord Vishnu. The left arm of this deity is with time and the popular belief holds that the day the the arm completely withers Badrinath valley will cease to exist and the Gods will transfer the residence into the neighboring NitiValley at Bhavishya Badri. Joshimath is connected by regular bus service to Rishikesh, Haridwar, Badrinath and many other centres in the region.

Day 3 Joshimath -Govind Ghat (20kms drive) -Pulna (3kms drive local jeep) - Ghangaria

We will start early after breakfast and drive to Govindghat, further reach Pulna Village by road (Shared taxi available on direct payments basis). Pulna is a small village 3 km from Govindghat. Earlier the trek used to start from Govindghat but now a new road has been constructed between Govindghat and Pulna. From Pulna the trek to Ghangaria is 10 km. You will see beautiful mountains, waterfalls and beautiful river while you trek towards Ghangaria. You can also see beautiful birds on the way. Stay will be in hotels at Ghangaria(3000 mts)..Check in Hotel. Overnight stay.

Ghangharia/Govinddham : Situated in the midst of a pine grove Ghangharia serves asa base for visiting Hemkund Shaib. It is the last human habitation in the valley. A tourist Lodge, log huts, tents and a Gurudwara provide comfortable accommadition. 

Day 4 Ghangaria - Hemkund Sahib - Ghangaria (6kms/4hr each side)

After breakfast, start trekking to Gurdwara Sri Hemkund Sahib, one of the holiest Sikh pilgrimages. Guru Gobind Singh meditated here. The place is described as Hemkund Parbat Sapat Sring, the "lake of ice" "mountain" adorned with "seven peaks", surround the shrine, looming over lush green pastures. The tenth and penultimate Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, meditated for years in these mountains, finally leaving his earthly form and uniting with the Almighty. The star-shaped Gurudwara Sri Hemkund Sahib Ji, at a height of over 4,239 mt, is as such, a memorial to Guru Gobind Singh ji and a reminder of the saint’s mission. Snow-covered peaks and mountains makes the backdrop for 'The Hemkund Lake'. Return to Ghangria, Overnight stay.

Gurudwara Hemkund Shaib : This imposing star-shaped structure of stone and concrete masonry is one the shores of the lake. An outlet behind the Gurudwara is source of the Lakshman Ganga.

Temple of Lord Lakshman : A small temple nearby, dedicated to Lord Lakshman.

Day 5 Ghangaria - Valley of Flower - Ghangaria (4kms/3hr each side)

Post early breakfast, you start your much awaited trek to Valley of Flowers. It is an easy walk through lush green and spectacular landscape Stunning views and blooming wild flowers are for you to explore once you enter Valley of Flowers. This day is a treat to nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. Valley stretches for about 10 km. It is up to you to explore as much as you can during the time your trek leader allocates (Altitude Valley of Flowers 3658 mtr). (Option to hire pony is NOTavailable as Valley is UNESCO World Heritage Site)

Valley of Flower was discovered by Frank Smith while on the Expedition to Mt. Kamet. This picturesque Valley covered by rare species of flowers & a wide variety of Butterflies, Musk Deer, Thar & serow are found here. Back to Ghangaria. Overnight stay.

Day 6 Ghangaria - Govindghat (10kms trek down& 3kms by Jeep) - Rudraprayag

Return back to Govindghat, further drive to Rudraprayag. Check in Hotel. Rest day at leisure. Overnight stay.

Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayag (five confluences) of Alaknanda River, the point of confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Kedarnath, a Hindu holy town is located 86 km from Rudraprayag. The famous man eating Leopard of Rudraprayag hunted and written about by Jim Corbett (hunter) dwelled here.

Weather - Generally hot in summer, the temperature ranges from 35-40 degree Celsius, Winter: The Days are pleasantly cool but the nights are cold,temp ranges from 20 deg to 05 deg.

Day 7 Rudraprayag -Rishikesh (140kms/4hr)

Drive to Rishikesh, the 'place of sages' is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of " Hrishikesh " and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh.

Check in Hotel. Later visit Rishikesh Temples & Sight Seeing - Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram. At evening visit Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Ashram. Overnight stay.

Day 8 Rishikesh - Hardwar - Delhi (250kms/7hr)

Drive back to Delhi. On Arr. Delhi, transfer to Railway Station / Airport. Tour Terminate.
