Kaziranga National Park through the lush green tea gardens and blue hills. On arrival transfer to Jungle lodge. Elephant Safari in the park and back to the Jungle lodge. After lunch go for a Jeep safari in central range. . At Cherrapunjee we shall visit the magnificent waterfalls- Nohkalikai & Mawsmai, the cave of Mawsmai which is one of the 100 odd limestone caves in Meghalaya. We shall also have an opportunity to have a look at the flat Bangladesh land from Cherrapunjee. On our way back to Shillong we shall visit Elephant falls & Shillong Peak near Shillong. |
| ITINERARY |
DAY 01: ARRIVE GUWAHATI On arrival to Guwahati airport, our tour manager will welcome you on your arrival at airport. Later transfer and check into the hotel. Dinner in a floating restaurant over Brahmaputra River. Over night stay at the hotel.DAY 02: GUWAHATI TO KAZIRANGA Morning drive to Kaziranga National Park through the lush green tea gardens and blue hills. On arrival transfer to Jungle lodge. Afternoon 4 x 4 WD Jeep Safari in the world famous National Park to view the wildlife of the area. Over night in a Jungle lodge.DAY 03: KAZIRANGA Full day in Kaziranga. Early morning Elephant Safari in the park and back to the Jungle lodge. After lunch go for a Jeep safari in central range. Afternoon nature walks in nearby areas. Over night in Jungle Lodge.DAY 04: KAZIRANGA- SHILLONG (ROSAVILLE) 07 HR We shall transfer to Shillong, the former capital of Assam and the present capital of the state of Meghalaya. Enroute we shall visit the massive Barapani Lake near Shillong. On arrival we check in at Rosaville, erected in 1935 with neo-colonial architecture. Over night stay the hotel.DAY 05: SHILLONG- CHERRAPUNJEE (90 MINUTES)-SHILLONG We shall take up an excursion to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on earth. At Cherrapunjee we shall visit the magnificent waterfalls- Nohkalikai & Mawsmai, the cave of Mawsmai which is one of the 100 odd limestone caves in Meghalaya. We shall also have an opportunity to have a look at the flat Bangladesh land from Cherrapunjee. On our way back to Shillong we shall visit Elephant falls & Shillong Peak near Shillong. Over night stay at the hotel.DAY 06: SHILLONG-GUWAHATI (03 HR) Half day at Shillong. Later after lunch transfer to Guwahati. On the way to the hotel visit Guwahati Tea Auction Centre, the largest CTC tea auction centre in the world. Dinner will be in a floating restaurant over Brahmaputra River. Over night stay at the hotel.DAY 07: GUWAHATI AIRPORT Starting early in the morning half day at Guwahati visiting Umananda, the peacock island and Kamakhya temple and the Assam State Museum to have a glimpse of Assam's past. We shall be back to hotel for lunch and check out. On the way to the airport to catch your afternoon flight we shall visit Assam Government Emporium if you are interested in taking some mementos from Assam's rich handloom and handicraft products.
